Extreme or adrenaline sports are defined as activities where there is a high degree of risk to the participant. Participants in these sports need a certain skill-set, although under the guidance of an experienced instructor it is not uncommon for novices to participate in extreme sports. There is no defined list of sports that make up the extreme sports market segment, although they include bungee jumping, paragliding, kite boarding, land yachting, hang-gliding, caving, white-water rafting, coasteering, skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing and wakeboarding.
Snowboarding is one kid of extreme sports that combines the elements of surfing, skateboarding and skiing; all of them need ski boots and also marker bindings. They need to see marker binding review, so they can choose the right one. Snowboard, one of the fastest growing sports, is a recent addition to the Olympic Winter Games. Back in 1981, the first official snowboard competition was held in Colorado, USA. From there the sport grew widely and was first recognized as an Olympic Winter Games discipline in 1998. Two snowboard events were introduced at the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games – Half pipe and Giant Slalom. Parallel Giant Slalom replaced Giant Slalom at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Snowboard cross was introduced in 2006 at the Torino Olympic Winter Games.
